Before movies like John Wick (2014) and Nobody (2021) made the "middle aged man white guy is a former badass who you really shouldn't have messed with" film a genre in itself, Viggo Mortensen kicked things off with A History of Violence (2005). Another winner from the weirdly creative mind of David Cronenberg, this one's not as overtly bizarre as some of the director's previous efforts. The story follows Tom Cusack (Viggo Mortensen) a small-town diner owner who's unintentionally thrust into celebrity status when he easily offs some thrill killers that threaten him and his patrons. Suddenly, a man named Carl Fogarty (Ed Harris) shows up in town claiming Tom's actually a former gangster named Joey Cusack. Carl's got a score to settle, and soon enough he's kidnapping Tom's kids to make sure that happens. But Carl just might have forgotten the violence that the man formerly known as Joey Cusack was capable of inflicting on his enemies back in the day. Soon enough, him and his crew figure it out the hard way. Around Skin Central, we're lovers not fighters, so the action that had us most interested is the legendary on the stairs sex scene. Playing Mortensen's wife Edie (Maria Bello), tempts him while dressed as a cheerleader for a kids are sleeping over their friend's house sex session. Go Viggo go! That turns into sex on the stairs. But she really wowed audiences showing all three B's when flashing her balcony and orchestra in a loose-fitting robe. The sex in A History of Violence is so good it'll leave you in stunned silence!
