And she wants you to know, she’s totally cool with her bush being wild and untamed. She doesn’t use a bush stand-in or merkin (other than during one season of Transparent), if you are seeing Gaby Hoffmann’s bush, you are seeing the real deal. As she told Salon:
“I was very pregnant and my belly was in the way of my bush,” said Hoffmann. “I was mad. I didn’t want a bush stand-in! And I was like, Just shoot it with me! And there was a stand-in, and of course, she didn’t have a bush. So she had a wig . . .”
“Nudity, to me, doesn’t feel strange or hard,” explained Hoffmann, who grew up “very naked and comfortable,”
Gaby Hoffmann’s upbringing was one that was very open and kind of “hippie” one could say. I get that a big ol’ hairy bush might not be your thing, but you have to admire someone who is so comfortable in their skin… or in their hair, I should say. So, the next time you happen to see Gaby Hoffmann’s bush, take a moment and remember there’s nothing fake about it.
