Helmer and Son (2006)

The Academy Award-nominated short film Helmer & søn (2006) is about a man named Helmer (Per Pallesen) and, you guessed it, his son (Steen Stig Lommer). Helmer, who is holed up in a nursing home, has gone and locked himself in an armoire; the home calls in his busy son, who tries to talk pops out of the closet. They also call in Helmer's daughter, who brings her own daughter to the close-quartered festivities. This quickie clocks in at thirteen minutes of Oscar-contending comedy antics, and grandpa might just get some in the end.
