This South Korean singer/rapper is famous enough to just go by her first name as a member of the world-renowned K-pop group Blackpink. After living in New Zealand for five years, Jennie convinced her family in 2010 to move back to South Korea so she could audition to be a part of YG Entertainment - a conglomerate that serves as a record label, talent agency, music production company, event management and concert production company, and music publishing house - and she joined the company at just 14. After some solo work, she debuted as a member of Blackpink in 2016 and dropped her first solo album two years later. In addition to being the face of a number of beauty brands and fashion collections, Jennie branched out into acting in 2023 with her very first role in HBO’s controversial series The Idol.
