Katy Perry hasn't exactly been the most buttoned-up of performers since her transition from Christian rock - a good thing, certainly - but it appears that she's reached new levels of sexual empowerment, as illustrated in her upcoming album.
“Right now in my life, I feel very sexually empowered rather than being taken advantage of sexually or being manipulated by other people,” she told EW in a recent interview. If you've seen the music video for "Bon Appétit," you probably already knew she was feeling a little frisky.
“I must have opened up a chakra in my hips at some point because I feel great!" she said in the interview. "I know exactly what I want! I think this is a consensual transaction if I want it and it’s a beautiful thing to embrace once you’re ready for it.”
