Netflix wasn’t kidding around when they were casting their 2022 family drama series Surviving Summer. The plot revolves around a rebellious teen who gets sent to Australia and ends up becoming interested in competitive surfing. So the streamer went out and hired this real life Australian surfer to play one of its main characters. South East Queensland native Lilliana has been riding the waves for years, developing a decent Instagram following with her surfing content as well as her work with the clothing line Billabong Women’s Australia. She attended Sunshine Beach High School before branching out into acting with her debut role in the Netflix series.
