Good Beat, Great Nudity, This Is a #1 Song
When it comes to music, it should be all about the song; the beat, the lyrics, the feeling you get when you hear it, whether or not you remember the song after hearing it. The music video should really have nothing to do whether or not a song is great. That is unless your video has a completely nude Marte Christensen in it, then the music video is very important.
I’m going to go ahead and count myself as a fan of Jenny Hval’s work, even though this is the first (and might be the only) song of hers I have ever heard. It’s pretty great, if you want my opinion. It’s got a really good beat, the lyrics are catchy, and Marte Christensen is completely naked throughout the whole video. When you put all those things together—beats, boobs, bush, and butts—you have the makings of a number one hit. We should all do our part and share Jenny Hval’s work with someone who will truly appreciate a talented artist.
So, if you’ve never heard Jenny Hval before or you are a Hval-fanatic, take some time out of your day and watch her video for her song “The Great Undressing.” The song is great and the undressing is even better.
