There is a brand new season of the spicy show Bridgerton that is coming our way soon. Who knew that a drama about the regency period in England would be so HOT?! The cast and crew of Bridgerton knew that's who. While we wait for the second season to hit Netflix, the cast is talking freely about why they think people love this show so much and what we can expect from the show's upcoming sex scenes.
Spoiler alert: people like this show because it's sexy. Series star Nicola Coughlan (who has yet to go nude, sadly) and Jonathan Bailey talked about that at length to Entertainment Weekly about why the sex scenes were important. I love that! They don't just think that they were necessary, but also important. Those are my favorite kinds of sex scenes. Add hot, of course, and those are exactly the kinds of scenes that I want to see.
The two of them said that they think it was key that the Netflix series showed off female pleasure. It wasn't just the guy doing all of the moaning and groaning, but Phoebe Dynevor clearly got off as well. Plus Phoebe went nude A LOT. She had four sex scenes that showed her breasts and buns.
The show showed us what women wanted and it didn't shy away from female horniness. We know that women are horny as hell and Bridgerton showed us that women were hot and bothered all the way back in the 19th century. Just because they had to take off layers of petticoats did not stop them from doing so!
There is a new addition to the series, Simone Ashley, who promised EW that the next season will be just as steamy as the first. She said that she loves both Bridgerton and Sex Education because they take a look at taboo topics and explore what kinds of dirty things their characters want to do. It helps that both shows show nudity! Simone Ashley was also on Sex Education, so she knows what she is talking about.
