Vada (Jenna Ortega) isn't the most popular girl in her high school, but she has a loving family at home and certainly isn't the least popular.  Mia Reed (Maddie Ziegler) on the other hand, might be the prettiest, most popular, most confident, best dancer, and everything else Vada aspires to be, but the two just never really connected as friends despite being in the same grade.  Then one fateful day, both of these girls end up going to the bathroom at the right time and strike up a passing conversation, that's when the sound of gunshots ring out in the hallways just outside.  As the reality of a school shooter just outside the bathroom doors hits them both at the same time, they grab each other and hide in a bathroom stall together in hopes that the killer won't find them in there.  The minutes pass like hours as they cry and hold each other for support, but unlike some of their classmates, they are survivors of yet another American school shooter.  The Fallout comes for Vada and Mia though as they are now bonded together after their shared tragedy.  Both of the girls suffer from PTSD and become incredibly close as they push everyone else away, trying to cope with their new life after the worst day of their lives.  They drink wine, do drugs, talk about sex, and sleep over at each other's house.  It was just a matter of time before these girls end up crossing from friends into something more serious when their relationship turns sexual one night.  Despite the heavy subject matter, rising stars Maddie Ziegler and Jenna Ortega both shine and show off their sexy sides for the first time with a lesbian smooch, as well as some sexy clothes in this all too real indie flick from actor turned director Megan Park.
