The comically cool named Jack Deth (Tim Thomerson) is a bounty hunter from the year 2247 who has to go back in time to 1985 Los Angeles in order to stop a psychic super-criminal called Martin Whistler (Michael Stefani) in the sci-fi action flick Trancers (1985). Coming out after The Terminator (1984) but having a rather similar plot, Whistler has a special ability to use his mind to turn people into "trancers" which are essentially hypnotized people willing to carry out whatever orders he puts in their mind. Being a terrible human being, those orders are mostly murderous. Escaping back in time, both Deth and Whistler jump into the bodies of some people from the past. Whistler starts taking out all the politicians who give him issues in the future using some of the future tech he brought back with him, but when there's a mishap with the time travel technology, Deth has to decide to capture his man but get stuck in the past, or kill an innocent man to take out Whistler and head back home to the future. The first flick in the series that had an absurd six films in the franchise, this one's actually the most star-studded. See, to stop Whistler, Deth teams up with punk rock chick Leena, who is played by a very young Helen Hunt. One scene that's decidedly worth hunting for is when Helen looks super sexy putting on some kind of leotard from behind. That ass would be sure to make Whistler whistle at her! Mr. Skin wishes he could time travel to back when the future Oscar winner still had a body that tight! Memo to all our fellow no-pantsers: that ass is truly entrancing in Trancers!
