Crazy About Her (2021)

Loco Por Ella (2021), or Crazy About Her, is a Spanish rom-com that debuted on Netflix in late February, 2021! The film follows Adri (Álvaro Cervantes) a man is perpetually unlucky in love until his path crosses one night with Carla (Susana Abaitua). At long last, he finally feels a connection to a woman that isn't just your run of the mill lust-filled desire, and Adri thinks that his cursed luck in love might finally be over! However, the next morning, Adri discovers that Carla is actually a patient in a mental hospital who broke out for the night. Now, if he's ever going to see her again, he's going to have to check himself into the hospital where she's a patient. Surely Adri thinks he's sane and will be able to weather whatever crazy storms come his way, but the fact that he's going to these lengths to see Carla again proves, fairly conclusively, that he's not quite as sane as he seems to think! In addition to being a thoroughly charming and engaging romantic comedy, the film is also helping to break down a lot of stigmas around mental health issues by showing that the real problems with the system aren't those actually suffering from mental illness, but rather the system itself! Susana Abaitua, who made a huge skinpression with her nude debut in HBO's Patria in 2020, has a skinsational encore here, baring her breasts while getting busy with Cervantes during their first encounter!
