Do Not Expect Too Much from the End of the World (2023)

From Romanian writer-director Radu Jude, the camera follows exhausted and overworked Uber driver/production assistant Angela (Ilinca Manolache), whose current project involves auditioning disabled factory workers from an Austrian furniture company for a part in a workplace safety video. Angela visits each one and records them on her cellphone, after which she will send them to her boss and one will be chosen to share their sad story in the form of a cautionary tale. There’s much less caution paid when the camera captures a fully nude Ilinca getting out of bed and we catch sight of all three Bs before she gets dressed. We weren’t expecting much since it’s the actress’s nude debut, but, boy, were we wrong!
