The L.A.-hood comedy For da Love of Money (2002) follows the comedic misadventures of Dre (Pierre Edwards), who surrounds himself with women and trouble when his friends and family discover that a thief has stashed $20,000 in stolen cash in his backyard. Edwards, who wrote, directed, and starred in this urban comedy, is a veteran of the genre, having appeared in B*A*P*S (1997) with Halle Berry, How To Be a Player (1997), and The Wash (2001). There’s no nudity here, but as Dre’s best friend’s mom, Tanya Boyd strips down to lingerie for da love of his money.
