Jessabelle (2014)

The dead are back for life in the horror thriller Jessabelle (2014). Sarah Snook stars as the eponymous character, a young pregnant woman that has her life irrevocably altered, due to a car crash that claims the life of her fiancée and her fetus, and lands her in the hospital for two months. Upon release, Jessabelle calls her long-estranged father Leon (David Andrews) for support and a ride home. Even though dad of the year is less-than-thrilled to help his daughter, he really has no choice, mainly because she’s wheelchair bound with two broken legs. When father brings daughter back to her childhood home, she shacks up in the room where her mother Kate (Joelle Carter) died of cancer, shortly after she was born. Fun stuff. After finding a box of VHS tapes, one of which shows her preggo mother mucking around with Tarot cards, reading Jessabelle’s fortune, hinting that there’s a mysterious female spirit in the house spying on her, the crippled chick soon starts to experience ghostly visitations that scare the poop out of her. Dad gets pissed that she’s watching the tapes, he meets his demise in an alcohol-fueled moment, and his funeral reunites Jessabelle with her high school boyfriend Preston (Mark Webber), who eventually helps her do battle against the sinister entities in the house. Your boner will be doing battle within the confines of your underwear, thanks to the skinister, cleavage-flaunting en-titties of strawberry blonde Sarah Snook.
