Lulli (2021)

The Brazilian film Lulli (2021) premiered on Netflix in the final days of 2021 and takes its title from the name of the film's main character, played by Larissa Manoela. Lulli is a post grad med student who is doing her residency at one of the busiest hospitals in the entire country, determined to make a name for herself by showing that she's more than capable of handling even the most taxing duties in the hospital. One day, while overseeing some routing maintenance, Lulli gets electrocuted by a rogue MRI machine and wakes up from her accident with the ability to hear the thoughts of other people. Not gender specifically, as in the What Women/Men Want movies, but rather any person who enters Lulli's sphere, she can hear their thoughts. What at first seems like a curse eventually becomes a blessing as she begins to see her patients and colleagues in a more human light than she had when she first began her residency. Lulli now just hopes that this can help make her an even better doctor than she already thought she could be, as long as it doesn't drive her insane first. As the film's titular star, international music superstar Larissa Manoela is as excellent and natural in front of the camera as she is in front of the microphone. Unfortunately for us, she doesn't get nude in the film, but there is a supremely sexy scene where she shows lots of cleavage in her bra while making out with a guy, along with some sideboob when he takes off her bra!
