But We All Really Wanted To See Anna Kendrick's Butt!
Think back to when you really wanted something and you really hoped, dreamed, and thought that you would actually get what you wanted, only to find out no, no you didn’t get it. That’s kind of how I’m feeling right now upon learning Anna Kendrick used a stunt ass in her new movie Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates.
The trailers seems to suggest that Anna Kendrick might be going a touch racier in this new comedy, but that dream was crushed when Anna Kendrick announced that while her character shows some skin in the movie, it’s not her skin. She broke this bit of bad news while attending SXSW:
"Some of those shots are me and some of them are not me,"
"When you choose a butt double they're like, 'Is there anything you want?' As though they were going to scour the nation for the perfect ass you described and then they showed me three pictures and were like, 'This is the only one that could be you. This is the only one that isn't seven feet tall,"
While I find this news very disheartening it won’t keep me out of the theaters when Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates comes to my local cinema. Anna Kendrick will still be in a bikini in the film. But since I now know that no one us of will get the chance to see Anna Kendrick’s naked ass, I might wait until the weekend after it opens to go see it.
Oh, Anna Kendrick, why must you tease us so?
