Venus (2023)

Venus (2023) isn't just the name of the movie, it's the name of the fictional band within this Spanish movie about loss and regret. In the 1970s, Paula (Paula Muñoz), Mario (Carlos Serrano-Clark), and Miguel (Carlos Gorbe) were in a band called Venus who played their final show together at the Café Lumière in Madrid. Forty years later, at that same café, a chance meeting between Jorge (Antonio Hortelano) and Alicia (Ariana Bruguera) stirs up memories of the past, as Alicia was the girl Jorge had a crush on when they were younger and Venus was the most popular band around. The past and present then merge in this unique memory play that actually began life as a stage play, which thankfully doesn't preclude it from including nudity! The two female leads of both halves of the story go topless in this gorgeously shot black and white film, with Paula Muñoz going topless in front of co-star Gorbe, while Ariana Bruguera sits up in bed with her breasts out as she monologues directly to the camera! She's got it! Yeah, baby, they've both got it!
